Rebuild

It sucks losing Gallo but at this point we are realistically in year 1 of a full rebuild. I think that 2024 is when we really should be excited about this team again. Am I wrong? Also got move Gibby now for best package makes no sense for him to be here!

What I am concerned about is that this team will be perpetually in rebuild mode. Sure, one of those prospects might pan out, but that guy gets traded in three or four years for more prospects as we kick the can down the road again.

I know, a lot of this is probably just the depression over losing Gallo, but it seems as if this team is counting on an extraordinary number of things to turn out right in order to return to a competitive state.

Maybe I'm wrong (and I hope I am) but... yeah, right now I don't feel good about this franchise, and I've been a fan since 72, good years and bad.

I would just say that I feel like this prior offseason and this year is the first time that we actually committed to rebuilding. We should have don’t it with Mike Minor and should probably traded Lance Lynn last year at the deadline, but if you look at high A and double A this team is on the verge I think. I feel like double A this year has turned the corner for this organization. I honestly feel like though that we don’t need to necessarily spend this off-season it should be after 2022.

OK. Well, I've been looking for a silver lining. And I guess I found one.

At least Joey wasn't traded to the Astros. That would suck even worse.
